The Twin Cities UCG congregation
would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to join us in celebrating the 15th Families for God Weekend in Minneapolis, Minnesota, March 2 - 4, 2012. This year's theme is taken from Ephesians 4:12-16, "Joined and Knit Together."
About the 2012 Families for God Weekend
The weekend promises to offer many a treat for all generations, whether young or young-at-heart. Last year bestowed record participation at many activities as the visitors travelled to the Twin Cities from eight states!
The theme for this year's Families for God weekend, "Joined and Knit Together," is taken from Ephesians 4:12-16:
"...for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the headChristfrom whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love."
The theme builds the framework for the weekendto examine this truth and to help each other grow in this together.
Guest Speaker - Dennis Luker
This year we have the pleasure of welcoming UCG President Dennis Luker as our special guest. Mr. Luker will be visiting us from the Home Office in Cincinnati, Ohio.
A minister of nearly 50 years, Mr. Luker holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's degree in theology from Ambassador College and is the author of numerous articles for Church publications.
Mr. Luker and his wife presently reside in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is currently serving as president of the United Church of God, an International Association.
Activities
We plan on welcoming about 350 participants to this event, which includes a Friday night Bible study and services on the Sabbath followed by several interactive biblically-based seminars.
For Saturday evening, the annual teen prom offers a safe and exciting evening for teens aged 12 to 19. And of course, the family fun show promises a fun and relaxing time as our brethren entertain us with song, music, readings, humorous skits and more!
We invite and encourage those who wish to participateyoung, old or in-betweento contact Thomas Randle at (763) 754-2401 or by e-mail at funshow@familiesforgod.org with what you would like to contribute for an uplifting and respectful show.
Due to last year's record-shattering participation and back by popular demand, Sunday's activity will again take place at the Water Park of America, located in Bloomington, MN. Non-swimmers are welcome to join us for a hot lunch and fellowship in the observation room with direct water park access.
As in previous years, a live webcast of the Sabbath events will be available to interested members. More information will be available as the event draws near.

We have asked the hotel to set aside 40 rooms/suites, and we encourage the brethren to stay at the hotel, as many activities run late into the night. Please call (800) 228-9290 or (952) 544-4400 and mention "UCG" to obtain the special rate of $79 for a Regular Room and $99 for a Suite (plus tax). Marriott Minneapolis West's catering service will open up the evening by serving a delectable white-linen three-course meal to the adults and children and, separately, to the teens attending the Prom. Please see the Registration Form for menu selections and cost.
